Every day he:
- Completed 3 or less tasks
- Added 3 or more new tasks
So his list continued to grow.
Even worse, he frequently failed to complete all the tasks he had assigned to that day
And this made him feel even further behind than when he had used pen and paper!
Because every day started with him looking at the long and ever-growing list of overdue tasks from the day before.
He would reassign them all to the current day, along with his new tasks, even though he realized he'd never get it all done.
Before long he felt discouraged, overwhelmed, and confused about how to become more productive.
